Downdetector, Speedtest sold to IT service provider Accenture in $1.2B deal
Accenture has agreed to acquire Ookla, the owner of Speedtest and Downdetector, from Ziff Davis for $1.2 billion in cash. The IT consulting giant plans to integrate Ookla's network intelligence and monitoring products into its offerings for communications service providers, hyperscalers, and government clients to optimize Wi-Fi and 5G networks. Ookla's portfolio also includes Ekahau and RootMetrics, which provide wireless network design and mobile performance monitoring tools.
